Knit together

God is so good and most certainly faithful!

He doesn't ever fail me, but when I choose other things above Him I am unable to be filled by Him.

I have been thinking about and studying Creation a little bit. It is so fascinating! Beth Moore touches on Creation in her study, "Believing God" and I love the following quote from her Bible study book:

"I learned that about 2 meters of DNA can be found in every human cell, each packaged with 46 chromosomes in and infinitesimal nucleus. While Darwin sat at his desk and reduced all of creation to simple blobs of protoplasm, the outstretched DNA in his body could have reached back and forth to the sun about 50 times. Charles Darwin was fearfully and wonderfully made. He just never knew it. So are you, Dear one."

I am not here to argue against Charles Darwin...The thing that sticks out to me is the complexity of the human body and how marvellously and wonderfully we are made. It is beyond my comprehension that something that is so small within us (DNA) could stretch to town and back, let alone to the sun and back 50 TIMES!!!

I also LOVE the following description that David gives us in Psalm 139:14-18

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you.

Not only are we made so intricately by our Creator...He is so personally involved with us that He has searched us, and taken the time to KNIT US TOGETHER. He knit every inch of that DNA within us together...It takes a while to knit, and those that knit, usually consider each stitch carefully and if not perfect, may back up and remove stitches to perfect them to their liking.

I can imagine our Creator doing that for each of us, personally knitting each of us together...What a cool picture!!!
